Password to connect over BLE to Bangle.js 2
Context
It had been a long time since I didn't tinker with my Bangle.js 2, and following my article about the upcoming Sensor Watch Pro, I decided to spend some time on it to see what was new in terms of applications.
The Problem
When connecting over BLE with my browser, it asked for a password. It was strange since I didn't remember having to enter a password in the past. I tried a few ones to no luck.
Fixing it
I had a look at the Bluetooth menu (Settings > Bluetooth) and indeed there were a few options that I didn't pay attention to before, including "Passkey":
After entering that password, I could connect and update the 23 (!!) applications that were outdated.
Wrap Up
There we go, an easy fix - I can now spend some time on my Bangle.js 2.
I realised that I still haven't written a proper article about using it as a
daily driver - as promised in that
article.
So I'll try to do that in the coming weeks!
