Ogarun Merinos T-Shirt

November 16, 2024 — Nico Cartron

Merinos

I love Merinos whool, and have been wearing it for a while: initially with Unboundmerino apparel, and more recently with Seagale.

So it was just a matter of time before I start wearing Merinos apparel for running, and it happened with Ogarun.

Ogarun

I discovered this French brand while listening to a podcast: the invitee did a challenge (running trip around France) and he mentioned a few brands that supported him and his values, and listed Ogarun.

This is a rather small company, but I like it and when you email them, you get an answer from Jean-Charles, who is the founder and also the designer of the clothes!

Feedback

I wore the t-shirt a few times after receiving it, and liked it a lot - but I really put it to the test during my recent business trip to the US: I wore it during 6 different runs (length between 10k and 23k, duration between 1h to 2h30), and it was a no brainer:

  • temperature wise, it felt just right, i was not overheating,
  • of course it did not smell - once it dried
  • after a long run, a noticed a few sweat smarks: I just rinced it using clear water, dried it, and the day after it was clean and ready to use again!

So in a nutshell: I highly recommend this t-shirt, it's really great and allows me to pack lighter.

Here's the t-shirt:

Next step

I will probably buy Ogarun's long sleeve t-shirt for my upcoming trail race (Hivernale des Templiers).
