Context
~25 years ago, I used to be a first-aider at the French Red Cross, and to communicate we used VHF radio, with both mobile and portable transceivers being ICOM:
- IC-H16T for portable transceivers,
- IC-V200T for mobile transceivers.
Buying an IC-V200T
I have my hamradio license for a while - even though I don't use it much as I'm
lacking time.
But still, I had good memories of ICOM and found a good deal on an auction site,
so here we go. The nice thing is that the unit came with the "Super H16" ROM,
which is nicer to use.

What's next
The local hamradio club where I live maintains a VHF relay (145.6625 MHz) with regular QSOs every day at 6pm - I'll try to listen and get back into it!
