I preordered Christopher Burney's "Solitary Confinement"!
As I reported several times, I am back into reading a lot more, and I have a list of "to read" books that I'm building based on podcasts I'm listening to, or articles I'm reading.
Once of those books is "Solitary Confinement" from Christopher Burney.
It is a 1951 book (see its Goodreeads
page about
Burney, a British secret agent that got arrested by the Gestapo during WWII and
spent 526 days in complete isolation.
I heard about it thanks to Ted Gioia's "The Honest Broker" Substack and since then I really wanted to read it but it was impossible to find a hard copy.
However, recently a reprint was kicked off by the University of East Anglia's Boiler House Press and of course I ordered it:

I'm now waiting for this gem to arrive - and will report about it here - can't wait!
