A new printed magazine about the Amiga: APoV

September 24, 2026 — Nico Cartron

Context

(Disclaimer: this article has been sitting in my drafts folder for several months!)

Even though I'm mostly an Amstrad CPC fan, I played extensively on both the Atari ST 520 and the Amiga 500 platforms.

So when I saw the announcement on Lyonsden blog of a new Amiga printed magazine, I had a look and even though those guys are based in the UK, they do ship to Europe/France (and in fact to the rest of the world as well).

It took barely a week to receive it:

APoV stands for "Amiga Point of View" - and it's already the 5th issue. The last one was published more than a decade ago, so to say that this is a blast from the past is an understatement!

Content

APoV costs 6€ plus shipping, and for that price it packs a lot, judge by yourself:

  • 70 pages printed on high quality paper,
  • Plenty of games reviews,
  • A detailed article TO COMPLETE

It is refreshing, in these times where everything must be fast, to see (and read) long articles, where people took the time to think about them, write them, polish them.

a CPC magazine as well!

I also discovered a magazine dedicated to the Amstrad CPC: Amstrad Addict

I will write soon an article about it, of course!
